What is Yacyn TV?
Yacyn TV is a productivity app that transforms your daily schedule into a beautiful TV program guide. Every activity in your day becomes a "show" or "program" that airs at specific times on your personal channel.
How do I add programs?
You can add programs in three ways:
- From scratch: Tap the + button and create a custom program
- From templates: Choose from 12 preset program templates like "The Workout Show" or "Focus Zone"
- Import from Calendar: Enable Calendar Sync in Settings to import your Apple Calendar events
How do I edit or delete programs?
Tap on any program in your timeline to view its details. From there, you can tap the menu button (•••) to edit or remove the program.
What are recurring programs?
Recurring programs are shows that air regularly (daily, weekly, etc.). Set them up once in Settings > Recurring Programs, and they'll automatically appear in your schedule.
How do program alerts work?
Enable Program Alerts in Settings to get notifications before your programs start. You can choose when to be notified: at showtime, or 5/15/30/60 minutes before.
Can I sync with my calendar?
Yes! Go to Settings > Import Schedule and enable Calendar Sync. This will import your Apple Calendar events as programs in Yacyn TV.
What are the dots under each date?
The dots show how many programs you have scheduled for that day. More dots = busier day!
How do I load demo data?
Go to Settings and tap on "Version 1.0.0" seven times. This will populate your schedule with sample programs for beautiful screenshots.
Is my data private?
Yes! All your data is stored locally on your device. We don't collect, store, or share any of your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Does this app stream TV shows?
No. Yacyn TV is a scheduling and productivity app that uses a TV metaphor. It doesn't stream video content or provide access to TV channels.
Troubleshooting
Programs aren't showing up
Make sure you've selected the correct date at the top of the screen. Swipe left or right to browse different days.
Calendar sync isn't working
Go to your iPhone Settings > Yacyn TV and make sure Calendar access is enabled. Then toggle Calendar Sync in the app's Settings.
Not receiving alerts
Check that notifications are enabled in iPhone Settings > Yacyn TV > Notifications. Also ensure Program Alerts are enabled in the app's Settings.
